Thank you for shopping with Pedal Edge™.

We take pride in providing high-quality cycling products. If you experience an issue with your order, please review our Return & Refund Policy below.

This policy applies to all purchases made through the Pedal Edge™ website and complies with applicable South African consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA").

1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • A return request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery for change-of-mind returns.
  • The product must be unused and in the same condition as received.
  • The product must not show signs of use, installation, abuse or damage.
  • The product must be returned in its original packaging.
  • All accessories, adapters, manuals, charging cable and inserts must be included.
  • The product must be in resalable condition.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • A Return Authorisation ("RA") must be issued by Pedal Edge™ before any product is returned.

Returns sent without prior approval may be refused and returned to the customer at their expense.

2. Change of Mind Returns

We understand that circumstances change. As a goodwill gesture, Pedal Edge™ accepts eligible change-of-mind returns subject to the following conditions:

  • The return request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery.
  • The product must satisfy all Return Eligibility requirements.
  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Express shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are only processed after the returned product has been inspected and approved.

If the returned product is not received in its original condition, Pedal Edge™ reserves the right to refuse the return or reduce the refund where permitted by law.

3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If your PocketPump Pro:

  • arrives damaged;
  • is defective;
  • has a manufacturing fault; or
  • you receive the wrong product,

please contact us as soon as possible.

For shipping damage, we recommend notifying us within 48 hours of delivery and providing photographs of:

  • the product;
  • the packaging;
  • the shipping label; and
  • the damage.

Pedal Edge™ may request additional information or require the product to be inspected before approving a repair, replacement or refund.

Where required by South African law, customers will receive an appropriate remedy.

4. Products That Cannot Be Returned

Returns will not be accepted where:

  • the product has been used beyond reasonable inspection;
  • the product has been intentionally damaged;
  • the product has been modified or disassembled;
  • the product has been repaired by an unauthorised person;
  • the battery has been damaged through improper charging or misuse;
  • the product has been exposed to water, chemicals, excessive heat or fire;
  • accessories, manuals or packaging are missing;
  • the product has been used for commercial, rental or industrial purposes;
  • the serial number has been removed or altered (where applicable).

5. Non-Refundable Costs

Unless otherwise required by law, the following are non-refundable:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Express shipping fees
  • Customs duties and import taxes
  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns

6. Inspection of Returns

Every returned item is inspected upon arrival.

If the product:

  • has been used;
  • is damaged;
  • is incomplete;
  • has missing accessories;
  • has damaged packaging; or
  • is not in resalable condition,

Pedal Edge™ reserves the right to:

  • refuse the return;
  • reduce the refund where legally permitted; or
  • return the item to the customer at the customer's expense.

7. Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected:

  • Inspection is generally completed within 5 business days.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days.
  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method where possible.
  • Your financial institution may require additional processing time before funds appear in your account.

8. Exchanges

Pedal Edge™ does not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to receive a different item, please return the eligible product (if applicable) and place a new order.

9. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • accidental damage;
  • misuse or abuse;
  • crash damage;
  • impact damage;
  • water damage;
  • improper charging;
  • use of incompatible chargers;
  • unauthorised repairs or modifications;
  • cosmetic scratches;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • battery performance reduction due to normal ageing;
  • failure to follow the supplied instructions.

These exclusions do not affect any mandatory rights available under South African law.

10. Fraud Prevention

To protect both our customers and our business:

  • Pedal Edge™ reserves the right to refuse fraudulent or abusive return requests.
  • We may request proof of identity before processing high-value refunds.
  • Returned products may be tested to verify reported faults.
  • False claims regarding defects or missing items may result in the return being declined.

11. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for ensuring that returned products are packaged securely.

Pedal Edge™ is not responsible for products lost or damaged during return transit.

We recommend using a tracked and insured courier service.

12. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us before sending any product back.

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Email address
  • Reason for the return
  • Photographs or videos (where applicable)

13. Consumer Rights

Nothing contained in this Return & Refund Policy limits, excludes or replaces any rights that consumers have under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Where any provision of this policy conflicts with applicable legislation, the applicable legislation will prevail.
